Turning Two Family Style

Our house is a bit cramped these days.  We have a playroom, formerly known as the dinning room.  The kitchen table is the only place to sit down for a meal.  But we wanted to celebrate Abby's birthday with close family and friends, and, of course, I wanted to invite Abby's local toddler friends over for a playdate, because I live for playdates these days.  So Abby had two birthday parties.  For a while, I think she thought she'd have cake and presents every week for the rest of her life.  Here are some shots from the family party.

Don't mind Katelynn.  She's just a bit special.

I told Greg to smile here.  Can't you tell?

Not one Elmo cake, but two.  Thanks, Nana!

Chatting with Grandma.

Erin and Caitlin.  They said they weren't bored.  Honest.

Katelynn made a hat for Devon.  And, of course, he wore it without thinking twice.

Relaxing with Amy after the party.

The day after.  Elmo cake for breakfast.  Why?  Because she asked Daddy.
